Toshiba Rx Medical Tablet

The Toshiba Rx is a tablet for nurses and other medical professionals. This project was done before tablets like the iPad became commonplace, and it envisioned how mobile computing could help medical professions. Some unique features of the design were an ergonomic handle, a shoulder strap, and a charging station that doubled as a keyboard. The keyboard is made of silicone rubber which can be removed and washed, as contamination of surfaces is a serious concern in hospitals.
