SPH3RE
SP3RE is an interface design for mobile devices which uses 3d navigation, optimized information architecture, and a physical interaction-friendly design. By observing, testing and researching problems with current touchscreen phones, it became apparent that there is ample room for new types of interfaces that better utilize the actionable properties of touchscreen technology.

This interface uses a radial menu that can be rotated in two dimensions, or 'pulled' in 3 dimensions. By pulling the menu sphere in 3d space, the user switches between different menu categories. By rotating the menu sphere about the pivot of the thumb, the user chooses different sub-menu options. Using the more actionable touchscreen property of sliding and dragging, SPH3RE offers a more fluid interaction where one is not hindered or slowed down by buttons and overlayed interface screens. SPH3RE also has a simple solution for accessability of the user's most relevant information. On the default screen of the interface is a constantly updating feed of text messages received, missed calls, news updates and notifications. This feed is also arranged spherically in 3d space, with the newest information lingering in the foreground, and older information receeding into the background.

A patent is currently pending on the spherical menu system.
